CSRD Indicators Catalogs
Updated over 2 months ago

With the arrival of the CSRD, we have modified the construction of projects to comply with European standards and save you valuable time 🏃

From now on, you have the choice; you can build the structure of your project starting from a data reference with Categories and Subcategories (Axes and Stakes for CSR), but you can also choose to build your project from a CSRD indicators catalog 🤩

This is what interests us here and this is what we will detail below ⬇️

An important concept before presenting the functionality in the tool.
When we talk about CSRD, we mention the ESRS standards.

But what exactly are the ESRS standards?

-> ESRS: European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

They are simply rules that will frame your project and represent the hierarchy of your non-financial reporting.
We can compare these rules to Categories and Subcategories in a reference.

Inside these ESRS, there is a number of indicators that will vary depending on your organization and your needs.

Concrètement comment ça se passe dans l'outil ? Specifically, how does it work in the tool?
The choice of the catalog is made during the initialization of the reference; it is the first step after naming your project.

3 catalogs are available to you:

  • Complete CSRD Reference 4.0

This indicators catalog includes all the ESRS aimed at framing the implementation of non-financial reporting, with 1420 corresponding indicators. In this catalog, you have all the indicators that have been constructed to comply with CSRD standards, with the latest update of datapoints by EFRAG ("Implementation Guidance 3 - List of ESRS Data Points")

Also, since we are super nice, tags on the indicators in this catalog are automatically created. You will find them in the "Tags" tab of your project (to know the correspondence of the tags with the catalog indicators, it is here 👉 Correspondence table)

(🏴 The COMPLETE catalog is available in English! If you have collaborators who use the tool in English, they will see the version in their language by default.)

  • CSRD Focus Reference 2.0
This catalog includes 4 ESRS, it is a restricted catalog to have the essential indicators to make your first steps in the CSRD (204 indicators).

  • CSRD Transversal Reference 2.0

The Transversal catalog includes all the ESRS but with a reduced number of indicators compared to the "Complete Reference".
258 indicators for the Transversal reference compared to 1420 for the Complete reference.

Once the catalog is selected, you can click on Next.

You will then have visibility on the ESRS that will constitute your reference.

(below Focus catalog)

By clicking again on Next, you will have access to the indicators.

From this screen, you can select and remove those that do not concern you.

A filter system by ESRS is available by opening the drop-down menu "Category". You can also find the indicator you are interested in by typing its name in the search bar.

Note that if by mistake you delete an indicator, you can reset them using the button "🔄 Reset Indicators".

Once the indicators are selected, a screen presents the data that will need to be collected. These are the data that will feed your indicators.
All you have to do is create your project.

Congratulations, you now know how to initialize a reference from a CSRD indicators catalog 🎉
