How to determine the uncertainty of the data?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In the collection section, you can see a column indicating "Data uncertainty (%)". This means that you need to determine the percentage of uncertainty of your data (0% = certain and 100% = uncertain)

You can provide the uncertainty of your data in 2 different ways:

  1. Directly from the collection table in the column "Data uncertainty %"

  2. In the data form, available by clicking on the data name or by clicking on "Edit data" accessible from the button to the left of the table

A sidebar opens with all the information of the data.

From here you can then specify the uncertainty of your data using a slider.

Determining the reliability of the activity data is not obvious: it depends on each collaborator and the sources you have available.

To help you measure the reliability of your values while maintaining a certain consistency regardless of the person collecting the data, we provide you with an example measure to maintain coherence across your entire project.
