How to create data in a Climate repository?
Updated over 2 months ago

As a pilot, you have access to the Administration section (red banner), which allows you to create and modify your repository.

To access it from the Collection section (green banner), you can click on your number logo, then on "Open Administration".

You can then choose the project you want to work on, and then click on "Template".

You then arrive at the collection Template. From here, you can click on "Add" to add a collection line.

You can then configure your collection line by choosing the following parameters:

  • The name of the data

  • The emission factor associated with the data. For that, you can write keywords. <if you can't find the searched EF, you can try synonyms or consult the Ademe Carbon Database to confirm its presence or not in the database. If you still find nothing, it means that the EF is not present in the database or does not exist.

  • The category in which your data will be classified. Warning: if you click on the first item after your category, your data will have no associated sub-item!

Example below: I want to place my data in the energy item. The two sub-items are "Fossil Fuel" and "Electricity", but if I choose to click on "Energy", my data will not be assigned to any sub-item.

  • The entity/entities you want to assign to your data.

You can also configure non-mandatory elements, which can nonetheless be essential:

  • Information: you have a text field at your disposal where you can provide the information you wish. This is for example very useful to detail the assumptions made on a line or to detail where the data to be collected is located.

  • Tags: tags are labels that allow you to filter your data later. You can assign multiple tags to the same data.

  • A calculation rule: particularly for amortizations, you may need to add a calculation rule to your data to amortize the emissions over several years. You can then choose the type of your amortization and change the rule if you wish to change the default value.

You now know how to create a data line!
