The tool provides you with a report generation feature so that you can easily download and personalize the elements you need for your communication.
This feature is the conclusion of the series of events you have initiated in the tool. It allows you to have everything in black and white regarding the information you have collected, analyzed, and planned.
ℹ️ This module is only available for Global Pilot, Project Pilot, and Partner profiles
If you wish to use reports to communicate with a third party or for internal communication, this feature will meet your needs.
Climate report
In the Communication tab, there are 3 types of available Climate reports: (make sure to select the desired project and the campaign in the drop-down menus below: Carbon assessment 2025)
These are reports of about ten pages, here’s how they are structured ⬇️
In various sections of the report, you will need to provide some clarifications (greyed-out notation in the document, see screenshot below).
BEGES Report - Carbon Assessment
The report consists of several components:
Fixed information, written by Toovalu's experts
Generic project data (information about the organization, data values, graphics, indicators with project data)
GHG Protocol Report
This report will only be available if you have enabled the GHG Protocol in your project's settings (Project configuration in GHG Protocol)
The report consists of the same components as the BEGES report with the difference being the terminology used corresponding to the chosen methodology.
Once you click on "Generate report", a panel opens, and you will then need to:
determine the name of your report
choose the language of the report (French or English)
define the source of the elements for the emissions' distribution chart (entities or entity tags).
This is the only chart that is customizable at the design of the report. If you choose entity tag then you will have the option to select the entity tags you wish to appear.
As soon as you have customized your report and pressed "Generate report", two actions occur:
A line appears on a table on the reports' homepage.
You will find the history of generated reports with various information and a button "Download" to obtain your report in docx format (there is about a 10 seconds wait before your report is available. You can refresh the page to update the status).
You receive an email with the option to directly download the report via a link without going through the platform (only the person who generated the report receives the email).
ℹ️ Reports will be available in .docx format
Carbon footprint Overview
This is a summary of your organization regarding the chosen project.
You cannot filter by entity or entity tag. This summary consists of a single page in .pdf format. You will find inside:
the information about your company
emissions by intensity
the total of your emissions
the distribution of emissions by category
CSR Report
CSR reports have the same structure as Climate reports, but unlike tags and entities, you will need to select the metrics you want to include in your report.
When creating your report, you will need to choose a single dashboard that includes the desired metrics.
As a reminder, dashboards are created in the Analysis section of the tool.
⚠️ If you select a dashboard for which you have saved a filtered view, those filters will also be included in the report.
Here are the metrics we will display in the report:
- Results or charts for metrics such as counts, pie charts, or bar charts.
- Results for metrics based on yes/no data.
There is a detailed breakdown of the responses to this question by entity in table format (entity name / yes or no response / comment / tag)
The report content will automatically include all Axes/Issues for which the “Visible in the Analysis and Management/Strategy section” checkbox has been selected on the admin side (this checkbox is available by clicking on an Axis or Issue in the repository)
For each Priority Area / Key Issue, we will display:
- The dashboard indicators in this category
- The goals and actions for this category
ℹ️ Note:
To include all your data across all entities, you must leave the entity and tag selections blank.
The relationship between entity and tag filters is “AND,” not “OR.”
(If you select multiple entities and multiple tags, the report will display only the data associated with those specific entities and tags.)
If you apply a filter or a combination of filters that has no data, the report will not be generated.
If you have configured a materiality matrix, it will also be displayed in the report.
Reports are available in .docx format, and the content can be fully edited.
